This ring is a study in repetition, weight, and quiet movement.
Drawn from the ionic volute, a spiral used in classical architecture to carry weight and resolve pressure. The Volute Ring is carved by hand from wax, shaped through a slow process.
Cast in solid sterling silver and finished by hand, the surface holds marks of the making process. Slight variations occur from ring to ring, a result of both carving and casting, ensuring no two are identical. Designed to be meaningfully worn rather than preserved, the Volute Ring gains character over time, softening and deepening with use.
